Who is responsible

What we collect

Only what you enter in the questionnaire: your name and contact details, location (town or region), your professional background, qualifications and experience, the learning areas and contributions that interest you, your availability, and your optional answers about relocation, compensation and anything else you choose to share. We do not ask for the names or ages of family members. Our form service also records the date, time and technical details of the submission (such as IP address), as standard.

Why

To understand your experience and potential contribution, and, if you agree, to contact you about possible future roles or advisory work related to the academy. Your information is not used for marketing and is not sold.

Where it is stored and who can access it

The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes server logs (such as IP address and browser type) and stores form submissions on our behalf. Responses are not saved in the website's public files. Access is limited to the LUMG project team involved in planning and recruitment. The team can review responses in Netlify and export them for internal use.

When you submit, a copy of your response is emailed to the LUMG team inbox (info@lightupmygeneration.com). Responses are also kept in our form provider's dashboard (Netlify), where the team reviews them.

Fonts and cookies

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. We use no tracking or analytics cookies. If you leave the questionnaire unfinished, your answers are kept temporarily in your own browser tab so they are not lost on reload. They are removed when you close the tab or submit.

How long it is kept

We keep your response for up to 36 months. The academy is expected to take several years to establish, and this allows us to consider you for roles and contributions as they arise. After 36 months your response is deleted, and you can ask us to delete it earlier at any time.

Your choices

Sharing information is voluntary. Most questions are optional, and the relocation and compensation questions can be left blank. You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy, and withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@lightupmygeneration.com.

Legal basis and your right to complain

We handle your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. You may also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg).
